My favorite place to visit.

             Although there are many places I like to visit, my favorite place to go is sripada.the main reason for this is that it is a major Buddhist religious site.because it is one of the few places where the buddha visited.

                 Called the site of the god Saman,it is made up of a number of mountain ranges.the major rivers mahavali,kalu and walawe start from samanala kanda and flow into the sea.situated amidst beautiful mountain ranges, this sacred place of many miracles.     

 

            When the buddha visited Sri lanka for the third time,at the request of lord sumana Saman,he ascended samanala kanda and made siripa notes there.it has been a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists since then and is a monument of great value.

           You have to walk a long distance but this is a very nice trip.on the way, while chanting seepada, everyone performs siripa with joy and devotion.respected and Loved by everyone at home and abroad, this is a place I have always wanted to visit in my life.
